Privacy Notice

What we hold about you, why, and how to make us stop. Written to be read rather than to cover us — if something here is unclear, ask and we will explain it in plain words.

Where we got your address

If we emailed you without being asked, your address came from your own company’s website — a contact page, a footer, or an enquiries address published for people to use. We do not buy contact lists, and we do not guess addresses.

We also record what your public website looks like, because our email is usually about something specific we noticed on it.

How to make it stop

Every email we send carries an unsubscribe link. One click and we will not contact you again — no reply needed, no form to fill in.

Replying “no thanks” works just as well. Or write to boumacreativehouse@gmail.com. We add the address to a permanent do-not-contact list, which is the one record we keep specifically so that we can keep leaving you alone.

What we hold

  • Your business email address, and a name and job title where the company publishes them.
  • Your company’s name, website, town and line of business.
  • Notes and screenshots from a review of your public website — load speed, whether there is a contact form, and so on.
  • The emails we sent you, and any reply you sent us.

Why we hold it

To introduce our work to businesses we think we could help, and to answer you if you write back. That is our legitimate interest in marketing a business to other businesses.

We do not sell it, share it with anyone for their own marketing, or use it to build a profile of you as an individual. We use it to write to a company about its website.

Who else sees it

Our email is sent through Google Workspace, and the website review is written with the help of an AI model reached through Sumopod. Both process the data on our instructions and for no other purpose.

Nobody else receives it.

How long we keep it

  • If we never contacted you: six months, then it is deleted.
  • If we contacted you and heard nothing: twelve months.
  • Website screenshots: ninety days.
  • If you unsubscribe: your address stays on the do-not-contact list indefinitely, because that is what stops us reaching you again. Everything else is deleted.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to boumacreativehouse@gmail.com and we will answer within thirty days.

These rights come from Indonesia’s Personal Data Protection Law (UU No. 27 of 2022). If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Union, the UK GDPR or the GDPR applies to you instead and gives you the same rights plus the right to complain to your national data protection authority.
